More Christmas memories

Anybody remember the stockings Aunt Marjorie made with names on the front and stuffed with goodies? Her kids were jealous because she had not made them one. But on Christmas morning there were stockings just like she had made for all the cousins. And those same stockings kept going up year after year. In fact I still have mine.

Granny Powers made the sock monkeys, too. And was it Aunt Imogene or Granny Vowell who made the younger girls (Becky,Sue, Jackie and younger) the big raggedy Annes? Camellia and Scarlett didn't get life sized dolls, I do not think. YOu must have been very short, but then they did get you under a cabbage patch.

Does anybody remember the book of life savors? And did somebody give me a Black Beauty book? Oh, the airplane banks the boys got...it was nifty, and everybody filled them up with money.

I guess I thought your books were my books...Heidi was one of my favorites. Grandfather, Grandfather. We did get big dolls one year. I believe they got tatty and Granny Powers refurbished them with great evening dresses. Do you remember that? Also, who gave the Deans lifesavor books until they got to old? Me? I didn't know you got too old for lifesavor books.
